Charlotte Driscoll

Mental health support, health enthusiast & dance lover.

Charlotte is a passionate mental health professional who is welcoming clients from the SophroSYNC community to become the best version of themselves. Through a balanced and holistic approach to psychology (with the neurological evidence to back it all up), Charlotte helps clients to improve their lifestyle, build confidence and resilience, and regain control over their goals.

Charlotte began her journey in psychology at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. She received her undergraduate degree in psychology with a focus in clinical practice. There, she was able to orchestrate and conduct her own research to take her understanding of the human mind into her own hands. She further enriched her psychology studies at Leiden University in The Netherlands, where she was able to take an international perspective towards mental health and wellness. Charlotte is presently obtaining her Masters of Science in psychology and neuroscience of mental health at King’s College London in the UK: a psychology program which has been ranked as the second most prestigious in the world. The influence that these top-notch educational programs have had in shaping Charlotte’s background in psychology has been integral to her success as a mental health professional.

Charlotte has trained in various behavioural therapy techniques, working with populations with ASD, acquired brain injuries, developmental disorders, and more. These techniques are incredibly effective, and can lead to excellent outcomes for those who may be suffering from disorders, or those who may simply need an extra push in the right direction. A key component of behavioural therapy involves working with clients to help make their intended daily practices more inherently rewarding - in other words, to make them more motivated to do the things they wish they could do! Charlotte helps clients to work with the adaptability of the brain: shaping positive habits in line with the needs and desires of the individual. She guides clients with the information they need to know about how their minds work, in a way that is accessible and supports optimal growth.

Why work with Charlotte?

  • You will be gaining access to a unique perspective combining academic understanding and personal understanding: in other words, it’s not just textbook stuff! Charlotte draws from her psychological intuition, and her lived experiences with mental health struggles, to help clients feel that they are truly being seen and understood.

  • Charlotte is very skilled at making relevant research in psychology digestible. She will help clients to make informed changes, so that they not only understand what they’re working towards, but why they’re working towards it too. She strongly believes that psychology information related to wellbeing should be distributed far and wide.

  • Charlotte can help to connect a community of individuals who are all working towards wellness goals. Through regular, organized group sessions, fellow SophroSYNC members can help to lift each other up. Charlotte is there to guide conversation, provide food for thought, and share tips and tricks to help our community become stronger together.

  • Charlotte is really into health and fitness stuff too: so you’ll never feel like you’re working with someone who doesn’t understand your goals. She has lived experience navigating the highs and lows that a personal wellness journey can present, and shares many of the skills she has learned with her clients.

  • Charlotte takes the time to ensure she truly understands each client’s story. She helps them identify where areas of concern may have originated, and helps them repair the wounds of the past - all in favour of an even brighter future. Charlotte will help to lift you up during this journey and will ensure that you are always well-supported.

“Anything that’s human is mentionable, and anything that is mentionable can be more manageable. When we can talk about our feelings, they become less overwhelming, less upsetting, and less scary” - Fred Rogers
